DIY Digitals — Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before placing a rental order with DIY Digitals (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at diydigitals.com. By completing a booking, you (“Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

1. Overview

DIY Digitals is a camera rental service that ships sets of point-and-shoot digital cameras to customers for use at weddings, events, and other occasions. These Terms govern all rentals, shipments, and interactions between DIY Digitals and its customers.

2. Rental Agreement

By placing an order, you enter into a binding rental agreement with DIY Digitals. You agree to:

• Use the equipment only for lawful purposes

• Return all equipment in the same condition it was received

• Be responsible for all equipment in your possession during the rental period

• Ensure that any guests or third parties handling the equipment do so with reasonable care

3. Equipment

All camera sets are shipped clean, fully charged (where applicable), and in good working condition. Each rental includes:

• The agreed number of Kodak Pixpro FZ45 cameras (5-camera or 10-camera set)

• All accompanying accessories listed in your order confirmation

• A prepaid return shipping label (see Section 6)

You are responsible for inspecting the equipment upon arrival. Any pre-existing damage or missing items must be reported to DIY Digitals within 24 hours of delivery. Failure to report issues within this window may result in the customer being held responsible for that damage.

4. Rental Period & Returns

Your rental period begins on the delivery date confirmed by the shipping carrier and ends on the return due date specified in your order confirmation.

Return Instructions:

• Repack all cameras and accessories securely in the original packaging (or equivalent)

• Affix the prepaid return label included with your order

• Drop off the package at the designated carrier location by the return due date

It is your responsibility to obtain and retain a drop-off receipt as proof of return. DIY Digitals is not responsible for packages lost after a confirmed drop-off.

5. Late Returns

If equipment is not returned by the due date:

• You will be notified by email or phone

• A late fee of $25 per day will be assessed for each day beyond the return date

• If equipment is not returned within 14 days of the due date, it will be considered lost and the replacement cost policy (Section 7) will apply

6. Shipping Policy

Outbound Shipping: DIY Digitals covers all standard outbound shipping costs. Expedited or rush delivery requests may incur additional fees, which will be disclosed at checkout.

Return Shipping: A prepaid return label is included with every order. Standard return shipping is covered by DIY Digitals.

Customer-Paid Return Shipping: If equipment is returned damaged due to customer negligence, or if a replacement label must be issued because the original was lost or damaged through customer fault, the cost of that shipping may be charged to the customer.

DIY Digitals is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier. Customers are encouraged to ship returns with enough lead time to account for potential carrier delays.

7. Damage, Loss & Theft

No Damage Deposit Required. DIY Digitals does not charge an upfront damage deposit.

However, customers are financially responsible for equipment that is:

• Returned with damage beyond normal wear (e.g., cracked lenses, broken screens, liquid damage)

• Lost during the rental period

• Stolen while in the customer’s possession

Damage Assessment: Upon return, DIY Digitals will inspect all equipment. If damage is found, we will notify you within 5 business days with a description and estimated repair or replacement cost.

Replacement Costs: Customers will be charged the current retail replacement cost for any camera or accessory that is damaged beyond repair or not returned. We will provide documentation of the assessed value.

Normal Wear: Minor cosmetic wear (light scratches to the body, etc.) is expected and will not be charged.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Keep all equipment secure and protected from theft, extreme weather, and liquid exposure

• Not modify, disassemble, or attempt to repair any equipment

• Not re-rent, loan, or sublease equipment to any third party for commercial purposes

• Return all memory cards and accessories included in your order

• Ensure cameras are handled responsibly by all event guests

9. Payment

Full payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. DIY Digitals accepts all major credit cards.

Any additional charges (late fees, damage costs, replacement costs) will be invoiced separately and are due within 14 days of the invoice date.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

• 7+ days before delivery date: Full refund

• 3–6 days before delivery date: 50% refund

• Less than 3 days before delivery date: No refund

If DIY Digitals is unable to fulfill your order due to equipment unavailability or other circumstances on our end, you will receive a full refund.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

11. Limitation of Liability

DIY Digitals is not liable for:

• Photos or videos that are lost, corrupted, overexposed, or otherwise unusable

• Equipment malfunction beyond reasonable control

• Any consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use or inability to use the equipment

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid for your rental.

We strongly recommend reviewing your camera set and testing all units before your event. DIY Digitals is not responsible for technical issues discovered during the event itself.

12. Photos & Content

Photo Quantity & Guest Usage

The number of photos returned at the end of your rental depends entirely on how your guests choose to use the cameras. DIY Digitals makes no guarantees regarding the quantity, quality, or composition of photos taken. We are not responsible if guests take fewer photos than expected, do not use certain cameras, or if photos are otherwise limited by guest participation.

Lost or Stolen Cameras

If a camera is lost or stolen during your rental period, any photos stored on that camera are lost along with it. DIY Digitals has no ability to recover photos from missing equipment and is not liable for the loss of any images stored on unreturned cameras. We strongly encourage customers to keep track of all cameras throughout the event.

Photo Usage Rights

By renting from DIY Digitals, you acknowledge and agree that any photos taken on DIY Digitals equipment may be used by DIY Digitals for social media, marketing, and promotional purposes.

13. Privacy

Any personal information collected during the booking process (name, address, email, payment information) is used solely to fulfill your rental order. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to process payments or fulfill shipping. Please see our Privacy Policy at diydigitals.com for full details.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Jersey.

15. Changes to These Terms

DIY Digitals reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to diydigitals.com with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
